Hi! My name is Ian Clark and I am the founder, owner, and operator of NB3DDesigns. I started NB3DDesigns in 2019 as an eighth grader, after becoming inspired by a school project. My parents were avid hydroflask users and their car could not fit large bottles, which spurred me to create my first product, a custom fit cup holder adapter for the Subaru Ascent. I then created my Etsy page and listed the adapter. Very quickly I realized many other people had the same issue as my parents, as I would consistently receive messages asking for custom adapters for other cars. 

Throughout the years I worked with people all across the country, exchanging emails and creating custom adapters for their cars while simultaneously adding these adapters to my product line. Due to the custom fit nature of the adapters, they consistently received great feedback. However, I eventually realized the logistical impossibility of creating specific products for every car. This led me to pursue a universal adapter. 

I spent endless hours designing, prototyping, and optimizing this particular product, until I eventually arrived at my first version in 2021. The mechanism was functional and worked well in many cup holders, but was far from perfect. Flashforward two years and I decided to revisit the product, as my skills had advanced substantially. I completely redesigned the universal adapter and created a truly superior product. Between my custom fit and universal adapters, I truly believe I can remedy the world’s cup holder woes.

I created this website, a one stop shop for all your cup holder needs, to build a brand and spread the word of my products.
